The Morning Benders started out with lead singer/guitarist Chris Chu, a guitar, and his computer. Eventually he added additional members, put out a couple EPs, and did a massive amount of touring. They've since moved from the west coast (San Francisco) to the east coast (Brooklyn), got picked up by Rough Trade Records, put out a great first full length called Big Echo, brought in Chu's brother, Jonathan, to play guitar and keyboards, and....are still doing a massive amount of touring. Like I-hope-no-one-has-a-cat-or-a-plant amount of touring because they always seem to be on the road.
Not to stop what seems to be a good thing, the band announced their summer tour dates today, opening for Broken Bells until early June, then for The Black Keys in July and August.
They'll also be heading to Europe in June/July for UK/Europe headlining dates to coincide with the June 28th release of Big Echo over there.
