KCRW Celebrating 'Today's Top Tune' Hitting the 1000 Mark With Live Spoon, Cold War Kids

As of today, famed radio station, KCRW has given away 1000 songs with their Todays Top Tune daily free-download program. If you don't know the program, the downloads are free for 24 hours, then stream for 90 days thereafter.

To celebrate the big milestone, today's 1000th track is a rarely-played-live song from Spoon. "While in the studio for a recent "Morning Becomes Eclectic" session, they stayed to record a song they rarely play live, “Something to Look Forward To,” off their album Kill the Moonlight. They played it live for the first time in 5 years the night before the session," says KCRW PR Director Rachel Reynolds.

On Wednesday. KCRW will be posting a solo performance of “Cryptomnesia” by Cold War Kids singer Nathan Willett, and on Thursday, they'll have a Jose James track from his forthcoming album.
